Major two act musical works include ‘Separate Ways’ (with Greg Mosse), ‘One Pride One People’ and ‘Bombed Out’ – these shows with various performances at The Kings Theatre Southsea, The New Theatre Royal, Portsmouth, Chichester Festival Theatre, The Criterion Theatre Piccadilly Circus and The Camden Festival.
A bit of history.
John Gleadall spent forty years in music education, whilst simultaneously playing in various vocal bands as well as writing musicals for schools and for publishers Starshine Music.
Full length performed works include The Prince and The Pauper 2025, Cratchit’s Christmas Carol 2022, The Highwayman (with Greg Mosse) 2019, Bombed Out 2009, One Pride One People 2002), A Mean Old Man, 1997.
Shows written for schools include Williams Dream 1980, The Canterville Ghost 1981, Ready Freddie Go 1982, A Teenager at the Court of King Arthur 1987, The Scarlet Pimpernel 1990, Mandi 1992, Pyramus and Thisbe 1995, The Nativity Play 2013, Nanny’s Nativity 2014 and nanny’s Gallery 2015.
Musical Theatre productions written with Greg Mosse include Daisy and Marvin Save the day, Shakespeare’s Lost Women, Lady of Jazz, Poisoned Beds (with Lucy Flannery) and Separate Ways – currently in pre production.
